Panasonic HVX202 P2 Camcorder
The Panasonic HVX202 combines a progressive native 16:9 HD 3CCD imaging system with a HD quality Leica Dicomar wide-angle zoom lens. The HVX202 provides 1080i/720p high definition recording in DVCPRO HD format (100 Mbps bit rate). It is also able to record Standard Definition in the DVCPRO50, DVCPRO and DV formats for backwards compatibility. 1080, 720 and 576 signals all support 50 Hertz frame rates in progressive mode. Video data is recorded to Panasonic’s P2 card format. When hiring this camera from OPEN CHANNEL it comes with two 16 gigabyte P2 cards and a MacBook Pro laptop (2.4 Ghz, 4G RAM, 7200 RPM HDD) running Final Cut Pro software. When you’ve filled one P2 card you can transfer the data to the laptop while you continue shooting – you can even start editing your rushes while still on location.
OPEN CHANNEL’s HVX202 camera kit also includes a miller DS-20 Solo tripod, a Miller monopod and a Rode on-camera microphone.

In addition, lights, mics and cameras, everything you need for your digital video shoot can be hired from OPEN CHANNEL. If you already have some of your own gear, we can provide specialist extras like camera-mounted lights, video monitors and microphone stands.
Equipment is available for hire 24/7 (pickup and return during office hours).
